Bali Wedding Cost 2026: What 20, 50 and 100 Guests Really Cost

The venue decides most of your budget, because it sets the price level for everything that follows. A resort ceremony package can start below IDR 30 million for a small group, while a clifftop estate or a private villa buy-out for two or three nights runs into the hundreds of millions.

Resorts sell ceremony space by the hour and add the reception separately. Villas charge an event fee on top of the rental, and most ask you to bring your own planner, caterer and furniture. Expect higher prices from July to September and over Christmas, when the most popular venues book out a year ahead.

A resort package is the simplest way to fix your costs. Most bundle the ceremony set-up, basic flowers, a celebrant or coordinator, music for the ceremony and a cake, and some add rooms for the couple. Dinner, drinks and extra guests are usually priced per head on top.

Renting a villa or estate gives you privacy, a lawn or clifftop of your own, and rooms for your closest guests. The trade-off is that you assemble the wedding yourself: villas charge an event fee, often IDR 18 million to IDR 36 million, on top of a rental of two or three nights, and you add a planner, caterer, décor and sound.

A planner books and manages your vendors, handles the permits and runs the day. For a destination wedding this usually saves more than it costs, because planners know local prices and keep vendors to their quotes.

Bali has a deep pool of wedding photographers, and local studios cost far less than flying one in. Published packages start at about IDR 8–13 million for four hours of coverage, and full-day coverage with a second photographer sits at IDR 30–90 million.

Bridal hair and makeup in Bali costs IDR 3–12 million for the bride, usually including a trial. Each extra person adds about IDR 1–2.5 million, and artists charge a travel fee to Uluwatu, Ubud or remote villas.

Styling is the line that grows fastest. A simple ceremony arch and aisle with local flowers costs about IDR 18–35 million, while a fully styled reception for 100 guests with imported flowers, furniture and lighting can pass IDR 150 million.

Dinner costs about IDR 700,000 to IDR 2.5 million per guest for a three-course menu or buffet. A free-flow drinks package adds about IDR 500,000 to IDR 1.5 million per guest, because imported wine and spirits carry high taxes in Indonesia.

Ask whether the price is net or "++", and how many hours the drinks package runs. Villas usually let you choose the caterer, while resorts require their own kitchen.

Most foreign couples hold a symbolic ceremony in Bali and register the marriage at home. An English-speaking celebrant costs about IDR 2.5–11 million, and a Balinese blessing led by a priest about IDR 11 million.

An acoustic duo for the ceremony starts at about IDR 5 million; a band, DJ, sound system and Balinese dancers can reach IDR 60 million. Wedding cakes run from about IDR 700,000 for a simple tier to IDR 16 million for a tall display cake.

Most couples cover their own rooms and leave guests to book theirs, but many reserve a room block for the wedding party. Rooms cost about IDR 1.5–15 million per night, and peak-season minimum stays of three to five nights are common.

An airport car to Seminyak or Nusa Dua costs about IDR 250,000–400,000, and more to Uluwatu or Ubud. Share a hotel list with guests early, as Bali's peak months sell out.
