Your Bali destination expert.

What we publish

The site combines two kinds of pages. The Journal publishes editorial guides and stories that compare options and explain an area. Our stay, restaurant and event listings collect practical details such as location, facilities, opening hours, ratings and booking links.

Where the information comes from

• Journal articles are written by the Baligasm team and named contributors; some articles, photos and promotional materials are supplied by hotels, restaurants and other partners.
• Hotel descriptions, facilities, star ratings and guest scores on stay pages come from Booking.com and are labelled as such.
• Restaurant details are compiled from venue information and public sources; ratings shown are Tripadvisor ratings.
• Event details come from the venues and organisers running them.

We do not claim that every place listed on the site has been personally visited by our team.

How the site is funded

Some booking and deal links are affiliate links (Booking.com and Klook), and businesses can contact us about partnerships. A commission or partnership never buys positive coverage. See our Editorial Policy and Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections and contact

Bali changes quickly. If a venue has closed, moved or changed its details, send us the page URL and the correct information through our Contact page.
