About Uluwatu Surf Villas
Uluwatu Surf Villas is a group of timber villas on the cliff above the Suluban surf break in Uluwatu, built around surfing, with complimentary boards, a skate park, yoga classes and its own restaurant, Mana. Weddings take over sections of the cliff front, with ceremonies timed for sunset over the Indian Ocean. A resident wedding planner runs the whole process, from video calls and budgets to booking suppliers, and any outside planner must work through the resident organiser.
There are three venue options. Temples is a sloping cliff-front lawn, with dinner on the terraced lawn of Cliff Front 2 for 60 seated or 70 standing, and comes with nine villas and 23 bedrooms for three nights. Secrets, the newest venue, is a flat cliff-front lawn for seated dinners of up to 80, paired with seven villas and 21 bedrooms. Grand Uluwatu combines both for weddings of 80 guests or more, with 16 villas and 44 bedrooms.
A separate venue and planning fee covers up to 40 guests, with extra guests charged per head, while catering, décor, cake, flowers, entertainment, photography and hair and make-up are quoted by supplier. Mana caters rehearsal dinners and recovery barbecues. Because the villas sit in a residential neighbourhood, amplified music needs banjar approval and ends between 11pm and midnight, fireworks are banned, and a three-night booking allows one night of amplified music.
