About Alaya Resort Ubud
Alaya Resort Ubud is a 106-room boutique resort on Hanoman Road in central Ubud, a short walk from the Monkey Forest, with gardens that open onto rice fields at the back of the property. The group takes its name from the Sanskrit word for home and runs the resort on the Balinese principle of Tri Hita Karana, which balances people, nature and the spiritual. Two pools, DaLa Spa and the Brasserie sit within the grounds.
Weddings centre on the Joglo Pavilion, a 350-year-old wooden house brought from Central Java and restored at the foot of the gardens, where it looks over a rice field and a small river. It suits intimate ceremonies, private dinners and small receptions, with the surrounding gardens used for drinks. The resort also arranges candlelit dinners in a private bale lounge and custom room set-ups for the couple.
There are no published wedding packages; the events team quotes each celebration individually through an enquiry form or WhatsApp. Rooms range from Deluxe rooms to suites with stone bathtubs, so close family can stay on site, and a business centre for up to 20 works for a pre-wedding briefing. The central location lets guests walk to Ubud's cafés, galleries and the palace between events.
