Varawedding

Varawedding is a Jimbaran-based planning company with a second office in Jakarta that has planned Bali weddings since 2011 and also runs private honeymoon tours. Its team handles Western-style, Indian and Asian weddings, chapel and beach ceremonies and private-villa celebrations, and has its own decoration service. Each couple is assigned a named planner who stays with them through planning periods that often run well over a year.

Planning starts with the venue: the team keeps a database of Bali venues and suppliers and introduces florists, caterers, entertainment and photographers to suit the style and budget. A coordinator keeps couples on track through the months of preparation and runs the day itself. Recent weddings have taken place at Stone Uluwatu, Cross Bali Breaker, Renaissance Bali Uluwatu, The Mulia, AYANA Resort and Bali Beach Glamping.

Varawedding also arranges legal weddings under Indonesian law. Both partners must declare the same recognised religion, a religious ceremony comes first and the civil registry records the marriage straight after; the team guides couples on the certificate of no impediment and the other documents, which should be ready 10 to 12 weeks before the date. It can also plan weddings elsewhere in Indonesia.
