Celebrant and MC · Kuta
My Bali Celebrant
Set up in 2016 by Heather and Tristan, this Kuta agency supplies trained local and Western celebrants for commitment ceremonies, vow renewals and legal ceremonies, and also provides wedding MCs. Couples choose their celebrant, share their story and receive a personalised script, while the office team handles paperwork and logistics. It is a member of the Bali Wedding Association.
About My Bali Celebrant
My Bali Celebrant was set up in 2016 by Heather and Tristan to give couples and planners a simple way to book a celebrant whose English every guest can follow. The Kuta-based team now includes Indonesian and Western celebrants and three Protestant ministers, and together they have led more than 1,500 ceremonies across the island, from commitment ceremonies and vow renewals to legally registered Christian weddings.
Couples choose their celebrant from the team, each with a different manner: some calm and gentle, others more playful, several with Australian, American or British backgrounds. After a conversation about how the couple met and what matters to them, the celebrant writes a personalised script rather than adapting a template. For legal weddings, a Protestant minister leads the religious ceremony and the office team handles the paperwork and logistics for the Indonesian marriage certificate.
Several celebrants also work as wedding MCs, so one person can lead the vows and then host the reception. Because bookings are made with the team rather than an individual, another experienced celebrant steps in if the booked one falls ill. The office answers enquiries across several time zones, and the most requested celebrants fill their calendars well over a year ahead, so it pays to enquire early.
