Across the three, the spa brand draws on Indonesian beauty traditions, natural botanicals, herbs, spices and ingredients traditionally found in local kitchens, transforming them into curated spa rituals.

The newest DaLa Spa at Alaya Suites Ubud pairs a calming, contemporary setting with a philosophy rooted in Indonesian traditions. Its treatments draw on age-old rituals and the relationship between nature, culture and mindful relaxation, rather than following international wellness trends.
The approach is also guided by the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which centres on harmony between people, nature and spirit. The result is an experience that feels distinctly Indonesian, with traditional rituals interpreted in a more modern and understated way.
The Sagara Ritual at DaLa Spa
The signature treatment at the new DaLa Spa at Alaya Suites Ubud is the Sagara Ritual, inspired by the sea. It combines North Bali sea salt, flowing massage techniques, coconut exfoliation and a mineral-rich bathing ritual, bringing together natural ingredients and traditional techniques in one treatment.
The use of sea salt and coconut gives the ritual a strong connection to Indonesia's natural landscape, while the treatment itself offers a more contemporary interpretation of these traditional elements.

At Alaya Resort Ubud, the Manis Klepon takes inspiration from the Indonesian sweet, combining a foot treatment and Balinese massage with a coconut and palm sugar body scrub, pandan body mask and fragrant flower bath.
At Alaya Dedaun Kuta, the Velvet Rose takes a different direction, pairing a rose foot treatment with aromatherapy massage, rose quartz facial, rose petal bath and warm rosella tea.
