Bali's hotel scene keeps moving. The past year brought the first Paradisus in Asia to Nusa Dua, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio resort in the hills north of Ubud, an adults-only pool villa hideaway in Uluwatu, a bamboo eco resort above Manuaba Waterfall, a five-suite rice-field hotel inspired by Indonesian city pop and a boutique hotel built inside a 1990s handicraft factory. Kimpton and a Luxury Collection resort are next in line.
Here are the 21 new hotels in Bali, newest first: what opened from July to October 2026, then earlier in 2026 and in late 2025, each with its opening month and nightly prices in IDR. The hotels opening next, from December 2026 onwards, close the guide.
Just Opened: July – October 2026
The latest arrivals, newest first, including the hotels still in their soft-opening months.
1. Sudamala Resort, Ubud

Sudamala Resorts, the group behind resorts in Sanur, Amed, Lombok and Flores, now has its first address in Ubud. Sudamala Resort, Ubud, about 5 minutes from Ubud Palace, soft-opened in October 2026. The design takes its cue from Balinese craft and the surrounding river valley, and the four room categories are named after Bali's rivers and its Subak rice-field irrigation system.
There are 46 keys. The suites, in the Ayung, Petanu and Campuhan categories, measure 45 to 54 sqm and come in deluxe, garden, panoramic and premium versions. At the top are the 62 sqm Subak villas, with jungle or panoramic views, each with its own private pool and garden. Tambus, the signature restaurant, cooks Indonesian dishes over charcoal, and there are also a lounge bar and a pool bar. Sudajiva Spa has treatment suites with private gardens and showers.
Ubud's art galleries, temples and museums are all within easy reach, and the resort arranges cultural outings around the area. The river-valley setting lends itself to honeymoons and private celebrations. We'd book it as a calm, new base close to town for couples and culture-minded travellers.

There are 41 units: 33 suites and eight villas. The 40 sqm Suites come with either a pool view and a bathtub on the balcony, or direct lagoon access and an outdoor bathtub, while the 75 sqm Grand Suites add more space and a bathtub inside the room. Long-lost Indonesian city pop records, rare groove and disco shape the design of Moon Gang, a five-suite hotel on the Sari Organic Walk (Subak Sok Wayah), a car-free scooter path through the rice fields just north of central Ubud. It opened in April 2026 as a collaboration between Firstbase Studio, Dance Card and interior design studio YSG, with object design by AA Practice. In Indonesian, "gang" means a narrow lane. Cars cannot reach the hotel, so guests check in at the Mini Moon Gang kiosk at the start of the path and the team brings them and their luggage up by scooter.
Velvet Mood and Night Fever are 70-square-metre suites with a queen bed, a separate lounge and two private patios. Midnight Runners is 51 square metres, with a king bed or two singles and a record player and a selection of records. 13. Sejati Boutique Hotel

The team behind Melali Bingin opened Sejati Boutique Hotel in early 2026: an intimate 10-room hideaway on a quiet lane in Uluwatu, a short walk from Bingin Beach. The name means genuine or authentic in Indonesian, and the hotel centres on layered tropical gardens, towering palms and natural materials meant to age gracefully.
The 10 rooms and suites come in three styles. Timber and stone set the tone in the Sejati Suites, the calm entry rooms with an open-air ensuite bathroom; a Mezzanine version adds an upper-level retreat. Garden Suites are larger and open through floor-to-ceiling doors onto their own private planting. Pool Suites are the most spacious: one is wrapped by a generous L-shaped plunge pool, while the two-level version has a plunge pool, garden and deck looking over farmland, with a sculptural curved staircase. Every room has a king-size bed. Directly next door sits a one-bedroom Private Pool Villa with its own entrance, plunge pool, garden, separate living area and full kitchen, with breakfast and all of Sejati's services included.
Shared spaces centre on a lounge and a long garden pool lined with sun loungers, and the kitchen serves daily breakfast plus an all-day menu with drinks and cocktails. In-room massages can be arranged. Sustainability runs through the details: soaps, gifts and ceramics are sourced locally from respected businesses and independent artists, and a water recycling system filters wastewater through rock gardens to feed the greenery. Couples who want a quiet, design-led base close to Bingin's cafés, yoga studios and surf beaches should book here.

The all-inclusive beachfront resort in the Nusa Dua resort enclave opened under its new name in February 2026.

15. The Craft Hotel Ubud

CV Garuda, a handicraft showroom and factory built in 1994, now houses The Craft Hotel Ubud, a 15-key boutique hotel north-east of central Ubud run by Manguning Hotels. It opened in February 2026. Rather than tear the building down, Bali-based Manguning Studio converted it over 11 months, keeping about 90 per cent of the original structural walls and roof and pairing the industrial frame with postmodern, tropical-brutalist design.
The old two-level showroom now holds the lobby, a gallery and four suites, and 11 rooms were newly built. The Suite Room is 60 sqm, the Suite Room with Private Pool is 80 sqm with a bathtub, and the two studio types (58 and 60.5 sqm) each have a private pool, one with its own garden and one with a view. Salvaged factory timber now forms the staircase, the restaurant floor and the deck at the pool's edge, and more than 300 restored handicraft samples from the factory are placed through the building.
DICE, the restaurant and bar, serves fusion dishes such as grilled barramundi and slow-braised beef short rib in rendang style from 7 AM to 10 PM. DICE also takes in a vinyl listening lounge and the pool with daybeds, and the gallery hosts rotating exhibitions, workshops and events. We'd pick it for creatives, remote workers and couples who want a design hotel with a story rather than a large resort.

16. Hiliwatu, Bali Ubud, a Tribute Portfolio Resort

Hiliwatu, Bali Ubud, a Tribute Portfolio resort and part of Marriott Bonvoy, spreads over about 26,000 square metres of hillside among rice fields and forest north of central Ubud. It opened in January 2026, and its name joins the words for hill and stone. The arrival sets the tone: a lobby about 24 metres high, with water cascading through three tiers of pools.
There are 38 keys: 24 suites (Hili Garden and Hili Panoramic), 12 one-bedroom villas with private pools, one three-bedroom villa and one four-bedroom villa, all finished in natural materials and hand-crafted décor, with floor-to-ceiling windows onto the greenery. Tapis, the all-day restaurant, serves modern Indonesian favourites and its own versions of heritage dishes, using ingredients from nearby partner farms. At Omber, the signature fire-grill restaurant, the menu runs to Mediterranean flavours, prime cuts and seafood, while Nira, the poolside cocktail bar, turns into a lounge after dark.
Samya Spa works with Balinese healing rituals, and there is a 24-hour fitness centre. A wedding chapel beside a pond and an open-air pavilion suit destination weddings, and there is a heliport with views over the Ubud landscape. For couples, families and wedding groups, it trades a walkable address in central Ubud for a quiet jungle resort.

17. Equipoise Resort Ubud

Terraced rice fields and the valley that runs down to Manuaba Waterfall fill the view from Equipoise Resort Ubud, a bamboo-and-stone eco resort on a ridge north of Ubud run by iNi ViE Hospitality. The waterfall is about a 3-minute walk away. The resort opened in December 2025 and is part of the MICHELIN Guide's hotel selection.
All 18 villas have their own private infinity pool. The One-Bedroom Villas (118 sqm, for two) come with garden or rice-field views, a signature round bed with Aireloom bedding, a bamboo spiral staircase and a living area that opens onto the terrace and pool. The two-bedroom Presidential Villa (232 sqm, up to four guests) has a private pool that seems to run into the paddies. Villas use smart room controls and an in-villa iPad for dining, spa and activity bookings. A shared main pool sits in the gardens, and Aura Bar & Lounge looks over seven-tier pools.
Terra Verte serves Italian-Mediterranean food in a bamboo pavilion with 180-degree rice-field views, while Riserva is a fire-and-smoke steakhouse for just 16 guests. Hammana Spa pairs a Turkish hammam ritual with Wariga, a Balinese birth-calendar reading that guides the choice of oil and treatment. Days can include sunrise yoga, a guided walk to the waterfall, time in the rice fields with local farmers and workshops with batik, clay, silver and wood artisans. Every guest is offered a sleep concierge ritual. Quiet, couple-sized villas, with floating breakfasts and flower baths on request, make it a natural choice for honeymooners and anyone after a slow, nature-first stay.

19. Magia de Uma

Many of the bungalows at Magia de Uma are built around 150-year-old Javanese joglo structures, relocated and restored. This small heritage hotel, a member of Design Hotels, sits in Umalas, a quiet rice-field village just inland from Canggu. Jacopo Sertoli created it with his long-time friend Gabriele Salini, founder of GS Collection, by restoring and extending a former family home, and it opened in November 2025.
There are 15 rooms, from 30 sqm Standard Rooms in the colonial-style main building and two-storey Junior Suites to wooden bungalows in the garden. Pick a Garden Bungalow with an antique king-size bed frame and an open-air bathroom, a Ricefield Bungalow with a sunset terrace, or the 65 sqm Ricefield Bungalow Premium with a plunge pool in its open-air bathroom. Families can book the 120 sqm Master Bungalow, which joins two Pool Bungalows around their own pool. The 600 sqm Private Villa has three bedrooms, a private pool and its own chef and butler.
The restaurant serves Indonesian and Balinese dishes made with produce from the garden and local markets. Communal dinners are held at a long outdoor table, and the international wine list is strong on champagne. A 25-metre pool designed as a living artwork by the artist Koketit, its flowing lines of light moving with the water, is the centrepiece of AWWA Boutique Hotel. Set on a quiet lane in Canggu, about 8 minutes from the ocean, the adults-only (18+) art hotel opened in November 2025.
Rooms come in three types. The 35 m² Deluxe Pool Access rooms open straight onto the pool from a private terrace, the 35 m² Deluxe Pool View rooms sit on the second floor behind floor-to-ceiling windows, and the 38 m² Deluxe Boutique Collection rooms look out over the pool and tropical gardens. Interiors lean on linen, natural textures, terracotta accents and handmade ceramics. The Pool Access and Pool View rooms add a kitchenette with fridge, gas stove and microwave, and guests in them are welcomed with a tropical fruit plate on the terrace.
Dining is deliberately low-key: a flexitarian menu of plant-based dishes and local proteins, created with a Stanford-trained nutritionist and served in the restaurant and bar or in the privacy of your room. Days drift between afternoon tea, rooftop yoga and sunset sound-healing sessions afloat in the pool. The hotel is also home to Ukrainian fashion label Ruslan Baginskiy's first showroom in Bali, devoted to its hats. Couples and slow travellers have a calm, design-led base moments from Canggu's restaurants and beach clubs, and monthly rates make it an easy pick for longer stays.
