Stretch, Dine & Get Race-Ready
RUNAWAY 2026 starts on a slower note with a Sunset Yoga Session at Maya Sanur’s open-air Ceremonial Plaza on 20 August. Stretching and breathing by the Sanur coastline feels like a pretty good way to ease into race weekend, before things move to Rue the following day for a communal carb-loading session. Expect good food, fellow runners and a more relaxed pre-race atmosphere.
There’s also something for the sneaker crowd, with the session marking the launch of the ASICS SONICBLAST 2 and the new RISE & SHINE Collection. ASICS footwear will be showcased throughout Rue in a setting curated by ASICS and Fieldway, adding a fashion-meets-fitness element to the evening.
A Different Kind of Race-Week Ritual
The programme wraps up with the Shake Out Run, a three-kilometre community run starting at Rue and winding through the streets of Sanur. It’s designed to be easy and social rather than competitive, giving participants a chance to loosen up, meet fellow runners and soak up the pre-race energy without chasing a personal best.
