Norii Ubud

Norii Ubud is a Japanese restaurant run by The Wonderspace at Amarea Resort, on a quiet lane off Sawah Indah Road in Peliatan, south-east of central Ubud. The dining room mixes timber, rattan and Japanese art with windows onto the garden.

The menu leans on grilled dishes: the signature robatayaki beef striploin with yakiniku sauce, plus pork, chicken and shiitake skewers and grilled squid. There are also salmon carpaccio, spicy tempura maki, sushi platters and spicy miso ramen. Cocktails use yuzu, matcha and sake, and there is a mocktail list.

It opens from breakfast until late and suits couples, families and small groups. Lunch set menus and a sushi-and-grill masterclass are offered.
