Canggu is a 10 km run of surf villages on Bali's south-west coast, from Berawa through Batu Bolong and Echo Beach to Pererenan. Most places to stay are villas and guest houses rather than large hotels, so choose the village first and the room second: Batu Bolong if you want to walk to the beach and cafés, Berawa for families and beach clubs, Pererenan for a calmer base.
