Mister Wasabi

Mister Wasabi is the newest venue from Bali Mandira Beach Resort & Spa, unveiled in August 2026 on Padma Road in Legian. Its kitchen follows sosaku ryori, a creative Japanese style that reworks classic dishes with modern, artistic presentation and unexpected flavour pairings.

The building has two areas under one roof: an upstairs restaurant built around an open kitchen, and a livelier downstairs izakaya for sharing plates. Head chef Yama, originally from Hokkaido, leads the team, and the bar pours handcrafted cocktails and a wide range of sake. Festive menus have featured oysters, wagyu sushi rolls, pork ribs wasabiyaki and salmon dishes.

It suits couples and friends looking for a Japanese dinner close to Legian beach, with sushi and izakaya plates for groups and seasonal omakase evenings.
